The starting point for this workshop is Doris’ current physical interests and choreographic research, including from her current projects SONNE, In Ordnung and her Melancholie trilogy, accompanied by the live sounds by media artist and DJ Boris Kopeinig. Both have been working on researching the corporal effects of sound for ten years now.
In longer improvisations, the studio becomes an experimental space that allows participants to transform and rearrange personal movement patterns and dance ideas. Since her artistic series Habitat, Doris has increasingly come to understand theatre as a kind of living space in which movement qualities and themes are researched over a longer period of time.
