Workshop phases

The workshop and research programme is divided into seven independent phases: A week long workshop takes place once a day from Monday to Friday (between 90 and 135 minutes per session), Intensive weekend workshops take place twice a day on Saturday and Sunday (between 135 and 180 minutes per session), in some cases though in a longer block (360 minutes) once a day.

Prices in euro, VAT included

If you book and pay for your workshops until 31st May you get the early bird discount of 10 euro.
NEW: Since 2019 the registration fee is included in the price of the first booked workshop. Therefore, it won’t be charged in addition to the fees.

The reduced fee applies to students, apprentices, recruits as well as conscientious objectors performing community service (<27)  as well as for GoldenAgers (55+) 
The fee for professionals applies to professional dancers and dance teachers.
The Youth fee applies to everyone born 2001 or later (except for Shake the Break workshops).

Extra long workshops have a duration of 150 minutes  and more (Intensive weekend workshops excluded). Workshops, which are held by at least two teachers, have an additional charge.
For extra long workshops taught by at least two teachers there is an extra charge of 30 euro.

Shake the Break fees

The Shake the Break Workshops for children and youth take place at Dschungel Wien and are aimed at specific age groups.

Single lessons (drop-in classes) can be booked on the respective day as long as the workshop is not fully booked. The Workshop Office will provide information on availability and prices. 

All Open Level MixedAbilities workshops are offered on a pay-as-you-wish-principle – "you pay what you can or consider to be fair". The payment is made exclusively in person at the ImPulsTanz Workshop Office at MuseumsQuartier or at the Arsenal and at Dschungel Wien for the Shake the Break Workshop by Attila Zanin. Please note that our cancellation policy also applies to these workshops.

Owners of the AK AktivKarte, DER STANDARD Subscribers Card or the Ö1 Club card receive a 10 % discount on the first booked workshop. The respective card must be presented when picking up the workshop pass. Only one of the three reductions can be claimed. The card is for personal use only.

Our group discount is applicable to groups of 10 or more people at any level and is only available upon request at the Workshop Office or via email.

urbanative package
As soon as you book three workshops of the Urban Dance department the Workshop Office will grant you an "urbanative-upgrade" and you receive the group discount (price from the second workshop of the fee for professionals resp. the youth fee – depending on the age of participants) as well as free admission to the B-Side Party on 09th August. Enjoy! more

Booking & Payment

Workshop bookings can only be completed if at least the fee for the first workshop has been paid in full. The remaining amount of all other booked workshops must be paid at the latest at the beginning of the first attended workshop. As soon as the total amount has arrived, the workshop pass can be picked up (even before the start of the festival) in the Workshop Office. If we receive bookings for already sold-out workshops, we try to offer alternatives. If we do not succeed, we will refund the total amount. In this case the cancellation fee of 50 euro will not be withheld.

Online Payment

You can book your workshops on our website by choosing from detailed descriptions. Payment is possible via instant transfer, credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club). With instant transfer and credit card, bookings are possible until one day before the start of the first attended workshop. The advantage of the online payment is the quicker processing of your booking. The online payment is possible until one day prior to the beginning of the workshop via this link.
 

Payment via bank transfer

Bank transfers take a few days to complete. Consequently, the deposit period by bank transfer ends 14 days before the start of the first workshop. Remittances are to be charged free of charge for the recipient.

Dates for a succssful payment via bank transfer:
Week1 (starting on 15 July) – the last day for payment is Monday, 01 July 2019.
Intensive1 (20+21 July) – the last day for payment is Saturday, 06 Juy 2019.
Week2 (starting on  22 July) – the last day for payment is Monday, 08 July 2019.
Intensive2 (27+28 July) – the last day for payment is Saturday, 13 July 2019.
Week3 (starting on 29 July) – the last day for payment is Monday, 15 July 2019.
Intensive3 (03+04 August) – the last day for payment is Saturday, 20 July 2019.
Week4 (starting on  05 August) – the last day for payment is Monday, 22 July 2019.

Booking & Payment at the Workshop Office

The payment at the Workshop Office is possible in cash, with Maestro and credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club). The Workshop-Office-Team is looking forward to meeting you!

Booking by letter or fax

Please send a letter to our Festival Office: ImPulsTanz, Museumstraße 5/21, 1070 Vienna, Austria or fax your booking to: F +43.1.526 52 57-55. Please state clearly your name, address, phone number, as well as the teacher´s name(s), workshop title(s), workshop phase/date and level. Please keep in mind, that you have to pay at least the first workshop fee.

• Reservations via email or phone are not possible!
• Remaining workshop fees have to paid before the workshops start. Ideally you pay latest a week before the first workshop starts in order to be able to use the Fast Lane at the Workshop Office, provided for those who only need to pick up their Workshop Pass.
• Please bring documents required for reduced workshop fees to verify the professional status and/or your ID to verify your age. 


Cancellation Policy

Costumer cancellations  can only be accepted up to 14 days prior to the workshop. Please note that we charge a 50 euro cancellation fee for full cancellation of all workshop bookings. If you cancel later, the workshop fee(s) will not be refunded and will be demanded. If we receive bookings for already fully booked workshops, we try to offer alternatives. If we do not succeed, we will refund the total amount. In this case the cancellation fee of 50 euro will not be withheld.

Workshop pass and photo

As soon as you have sent the photo and received a payment confirmation from us, you can pick up the workshop pass at the Workshop Office, even before the opening day of the festival!

In order to avoid long queues when picking up your workshop pass we kindly ask you to upload a portrait under MY ACCOUNT, or send it to workshopoffice@impulstanz.com (JPEG or GIF, 300x400 pixels). Keep in mind that we have a Fast Lane at the Workshop Office for those, who only need to pick up the workshop pass (meaning: for everyone who does not need to pay remaining fees or requires changes).

The workshop pass applies as your ticket and has to be shown to our staff before/after the workshop.

NEW: Reductions for workshop participants at our partner institutions
In addition to discounts for ImPulsTanz performances and parties, there is a number of other reductions available for workshop participants at our partner institutions, even when the summer is long gone: There will be reduced fees for the mumok, Leopold Museum, Kunsthalle Wien, MAK, Kunsthistorisches Museum, Theatermuseum, Bank Austria Kunstforum, METRO Kinokulturhaus, Gartenbaukino, Wiener Staatsballett, Theater an der Wien / die Kammeroper, Festspielhaus St. Pölten, Volkstheater, Schauspielhaus Wien, Odeon, MuTh and the Kasino am Schwarzenbergplatz. There won't be time for a festival blues, will there?

You book two Workshops in Week1 and two Workshops in Week2 (one is an extra long Workshop, taught by two teachers) before the 1st June. You pay:
Fee for the first workshop: € 190,–
Fee for the second workshop: € 140,–
Fee for the third workshop: € 130,–
Fee for the fourth workshop: € 160,– (extra long and co-taught)
Total fee: €620,–
 

Reduced fee (payment before 1st June 2019)
The reduced fee is valid for students, apprentices, recruits as well as conscientious objectors performing community service (<27) as well as for dance enthusiasts of 55 years and older (GoldenAgers).

€ 120,– for the second workshop
€ 110,– for each further workshop

Extra long workshops or co-taught workshops (two or more teachers):
€ 185,– for the first workshop
€ 135,– for the second workshop
€ 125,– for each further workshop

Extra long workshops taught by two or more teachers:
€ 200,– for the first workshop
€ 150,– for the second workshop
€ 140,– for each further workshop

You book three Workshops in Week1 and two Workshops in Week2 (one is an extra long workshop, taught by two teachers) before the 1st June. You pay:
Fee for the first workshop: € 170,–
Fee for the second workshop: € 120,–
Fee for the third workshop: € 110,–
Fee for the fourth workshop: € 140,– (extra long and co-taught)
Total fee: € 540,–
 

Fee for professionals (payment before 1st June 2019)
The fee for professionals applies to professional dancers and active dance teachers.

Professional dancers
Professional participants are granted the fee for professionals for all workshops after recognition of their professional status. The fee for professionals is exclusively for dancers, choreographers and dance students at a recognised school or with a completed dance education as support for their further education. For the recognition as a professional we need a clear proof via e-mail or at the latest when picking up the workshop pass. As proof we accept a CV with references, certificates and/or engagement contracts, which should not be older than two years. The professional status is only valid for the respective calendar year. Participants who we can not recognise as professionals pay the regular fee or can make use of another reduced fee if applicable.

Dance teachers
Teaching participants are granted the fee for professionals for all workshops after recognition of their professional status. The fee for professionals is exclusively for active dance teachers as support for their further education. For the recognition as an active dance teacher we need a clear proof via e-mail or at the latest when picking up the workshop pass. As proof we accept programme brochures, links and contracts with dance schools. The documents have to prove a continuous active teaching occupation in the last two years. The professional status is only valid for the respective calendar year. Participants who we can not recognise as active dance teachers pay the normal fee or can make use of another reduced fee if applicable.

Youth fee (payment before 1st June 2019)
The youth fee is valid for children and youth, born in 2001 or later for all ImPulsTanz workshops in the regular programme, except for the Shake the Break workshops. In this case the corresponding prices apply.

Extra long workshops (class duration of 150 minutes and more, exception: Intensive Workshops on the weekends) or workshops with two teachers:

Group discount
Our group reduction applies for a group of 10 or more dancers (professionals, amateurs or beginners), we will happily grant you the multi-booking discount: price from the second workshop in either the fee for professionals or the youth fee (depending on the age of participants).
