Techno – that much was clear from the beginning. And now here’s the club. After the first performance of Universal Dancer last autumn, Doris Uhlich now presents the club version of this solo. There she is in the flesh, and the machine belongs with her: two motors start under a table, making it dance. And there are the sounds, the vibes, the light – and the energy that fills the entire room. The following still applies: “No more stand-by. Push the play button!” But in the club version energetic transgression works somewhat differently! A sumptuous search for a communal zeitgeist.
