BIOGRAPHY

Vera Rosner is an artist, performer, and DanceAbility trainer. She lives and works in Vienna. She teaches both nationally across Austria and internationally in various workshop formats in London, Ghent, Bremen, Porto, Helsinki, Munich, and Bologna.

Between 2005 and 2009, she danced with Danse Brute. In 2006, she founded A.D.A.M., through which she presented works such as 6 tanzen, Auf freiem Fuß, dancing with paints (in collaboration with L.A.C.E. Theatre/Los Angeles), Ruderal-Flora, and Fuss-Noten. In 2011, she founded the Dance-Gang, which showcased Das Lied der Stille for a young audience.

Vera loves collaborating with artists from various genres such as theatre, performance, and visual arts, and she creates joint actions, performances, and street art interventions (such as Invalidenstraße). She is involved in the design and as a performer in various art projects, including Parcour de Danse (Pontebba/Italy) and BODY-IQ (Berlin). She is a founding member of MAD Coproductions, where she has a significant creative influence, particularly in artistic direction, alongside projects like SWAYING, training programmes, symposia, networking events, Jattle, BAM + Poetry, SPINNING WHEEL, and the school project MellowYellow.

In 2017, she began collaborating with Doris Uhlich. She performed in the piece Habitat at the Donaufestival, at Tanzquartier Wien in 2018, as well as in the Habitat Pandemic Version (2020) in Cologne, Bristol, Trondheim, Marseille, Amsterdam, Warsaw, and Basel. Everybody Electric toured from 2017 to 2020 (Tel Aviv, Düsseldorf, Venice Biennale, São Paulo, and more). In 2023, she performed Melancholic Playground at the Wiener Festwochen and Gootopia Treatment at the brut Wien. Additionally, she participated in the opening of the ImPulsTanz Festival at the MuseumsQuartier and will present Pudertanz at the opening of the European Capital of Culture in Bad Ischl in 2024.
