PROGRAMME
At Public Moves’ dance classes, we dance outdoors from spring through to the end of the festival – free of charge, open to everyone, and with no barriers, in Vienna and beyond. And as always: everyone is welcome, regardless of age or experience!
In 2025, Public Moves took place at a total of ten venues. More than 190 international and local instructors led over 360 free outdoor classes – covering everything from jazz and Bollywood to waacking.
Alongside seven locations in Vienna, from Seestadt to the MuseumsQuartier, three other federal states also took part: in Klagenfurt at the Landhaushof, in Linz at the Lentos Art Museum, and in Salzburg at the Volksgarten.
Accessibility was once again a key focus. In every city, at least one class was interpreted into Austrian Sign Language (ÖGS), and almost all venues were wheelchair accessible. In addition, the ImPulsTanz team was on hand before and during classes to support participants with special needs.
Public Moves is supported by the Innovation Fund of Licht ins Dunkel and the Österreichische Lotterien.
