Every audience possesses strength, energy and sensitivity. This phenomenon is what Canadian choreographer and dancer Benoît Lachambre examines in detail in this artistic experiment. The intimate piece is the first part of a trilogy in which Lachambre wants to get to the bottom of our understanding of presence and the resonance of movement. In search of new dimensions of perception the body is not activated in its intellectual and aesthetic dimensions but as an instinctual, “naïve” being. Lachambre creates subtle connections between himself as a performer and his audience to demonstrate what the body can communicate when various sensory levels are linked with one another. The artist engages with their signals as if in a trance. Thereby transforming the space and expanding the experience.
