Little Stories About S.O.S.: Signs of Solidarity / Group Version

It is an emergency signal that is universally understood: S.O.S. is used as a distress signal and a call for rescue. In her astonishing work, the Vienna based Japanese choreographer Akemi Takeya has added 32 further meanings to the initialism, including “Suspension Of Sex”, “State Of Security” or “Styles Of Spectacle”. There are little stories behind these exuberant formulas, summarised by the choreographer into sparkling statements about solidarity. At ImPulsTanz 2014 she presented the collection as a solo evening; now the newly developed group version is first performed!
