In addition to performances, workshops and the Soçial music programme, ImPulsTanz offers a variety of events and opportunities to provide insights into the world of contemporary culture: Starting with the presentation of new books on dance and performance by the likes of Jeroen Peeters (2023), Guy Cools and Alain Platel (2021) and Johannes Odenthal (2019), exhibitions by e.g. Choy Ka Fai (2015) and talks and discussions as Think Tank: Dance and Ecology by Jérôme Bel and Future Clinic for Critical Care (2019), Crisis? What Crisis?! (2017) to film screenings including Alain Platel & Mirjam Devriendt (2023), Maguy Marin (2023), Wim Wenders (2019), Louise Lecavalier (2018), Lloyd Newson / DV8 Physical Theatre (2014) and music video programmes.
In addition to the two already established music video programmes, ImPulsTanz presents works and projects by internationally renowned choreographers and filmmakers, including nora chipaumire, Eszter Salamon, Damien Jalet and Erna Omarsdottir at the Austrian Film Museum. In addition, we invite you to the book presentation by Andrea Amort at Volkstheater – Rote Bar.
