Karin Cheng moves in the in-between worlds of dance and music. Shaped by her own reality, she is fascinated by diverse perspectives and embodied stories. These dual perspectives are an integral part of her current artistic practice. Karin sees herself as a kind of bridge that connects people with each other. She is the founder of the “Kiki House of Dive”, “Less” and “frisch getanzt”. As a DJ, Karin is part of Hotpotposse and A Party called Jack. All of these projects are about articulating and expanding the expression of marginalised communities, as well as providing access to resources, exchange and tools – and as an embodiment of who WE are. Her work focuses primarily on non-institutional initiatives.
