Elisabeth Löffler has been working as an artist in dance and performance for 25 years. She was a founding member of Bilderwerfer, the first inclusive professional performance group in the 90s, and has had numerous performances in national and international dance theatre and performance. In 2006 she founded LizArt Productions together with Cornelia Scheuer. One of the first art associations founded and self-managed by female artists with disabilities. In 2019 she premiered her solo performance Fix me if you can – a sit-down comedy (co-production with the brut/Vienna, directed by Frans Poelstra/Yosi Wanunu) and was also invited to Germany and Italy due to its success.
She is a founding and board member as well as part of the artistic management team of the association MAD – Mixed Abled Dance & Performance. Her many years of experience as an artist and teacher with disabilities as well as various collaborations in the mixed-abled context are of great benefit to her work at MAD. Elisabeth Löffler also works as a life and sexual counsellor, is a wheelchair user and, in addition to her artistic work, is active in the self-determined living movement and in the queer-feminist environment.
