This quote by Krishnamurti guides us into questioning composition and questioning what dance is and how and why we create it. It might sound absurd, but it’s important, in 2023, to get a little bit back to the basics, as in the last 20 years dance has appeared to satisfy itself, without any further exploration.
Each day will be dedicated to a specific topic relating to dance: wokeism, politics, money, religion, other art-forms, thought, feeling, and spirit. After warming up and exploring the themes of the day verbally, choreographic exercises will follow culminating in choreography created by the participants.
