Hedera helix

Dance can become vegetal. And the four dancers Alix Eynaudi, Samuel Feldhandler, Mzamo Nondlwana and Elizabeth Ward demonstrate how this can be imagined. The latter is, so to speak, the choreographic gardener of this piece in which, among other things, the principles of baroque garden design and European court dance, postmodern dance of the 1960s and the television series Fame from the 1980s are interwoven. Hedera helix proliferates like an abandoned garden in which elements of the past become visible through the thicket of the present.
