We all want to know what the future holds. It takes a lot of confidence and imagination, spot-on props from the present and selected memories of the past to speculate about it in an entertaining manner. So the Austrian Loose Collective (Alex Deutinger, Michael Dolan, Alexander Gottfarb, Marta Navaridas and Anna Maria Nowak) use the first US American musical, “The Black Crook”, from 1866 to go on a pleasurable artistic time travel to the year 2110. What the group of artists dish out in “Here comes the Crook – a contemporary dance musical” turns out to be a diagnosis of the present disguised as a vision of the future.
