Rotraud Kern, born in Upper Austria in 1979, has been living in Vienna as a freelance performer and choreographer since 2004, following her dance training at SEAD (Salzburg). She worked with Paul Wenninger until 2009. In addition to her own productions and research, she has worked with Lisa Hinterreithner, Saskia Hölbling, Georg Blaschke, Anne Juren, Klaus Spiess, Claudia Bosse/Theatercombinat, among others. She is a founding member of the cowbirds, which focuses on polyphonic songs from Corsica and Sicily. A student of Dr. Ming Wong, she has been practising Tai Ki Kung for 18 years. Her last work lovage was created in 2021. Since just completing her training as a NESC (neuro embodied soul centering) coach, she has been combining her body practices for expanding consciousness with knowledge of the autonomic nervous system.
