PROGRAMME
SERVICE
We will be loud, we will move with conviction and try out how it feels to shout in public. In this course, bodies and voices are trained as tools for activism, at demonstrations and flashmobs. Participants gain experience in resisting, alongside playful ways of demanding change in public. The protestors’ movement and chant repertoire are taught to intervene in public space and generate collective presence. Reflection on personal experiences and realities helps inform the agency to take to the streets. Equally important, struggles that do not directly concern one’s own body and life will be addressed – how can solidarity be shown with others?
This workshop empowers voices, bodies, and minds for protest and expands the imagination of engaging in public discourse through choreographic means.
