PROGRAMME
Based on the somatic practice of the Alexander Technique, this workshop explores psychophysical reactions to various circumstances and situations. Our movements are shaped by unconscious habits that can lead to excessive tension and poor posture – the Alexander Technique aims to release these. The principles of the technique are applied to move closer to letting go and to flow. Gradually, one becomes less “reactive”, gains more choices, and can respond more appropriately – in improvisation and performance as well as in daily life.
Balance, freer breath, reduced back pain, and a sense of lightness may also be additional outcomes of this work.
