A Carpet of Lungs invites participants to explore their inner landscapes, offering an alternative anatomy. Through practices blending anatomical awareness with poetic imagery, new insights into the body as both a creative and performative source are offered.
It is explored how breath, touch, and sound can reshape ideas of embodiment, as well as the way in which the body is inhabited and connected to the world – not as something singular and separate, but as something plural, overflowing, and relational.
Participants work with an eclectic and playful approach that blends anatomy, Shiatsu, and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with voice resonance techniques and organ-driven movement practices. In doing so, rigid notions of anatomy are questioned, and the body is understood as a living structure, permeated by imagination, beyond gendered and normative constraints.
