The primary aim of this course is to connect with one’s core, express it, and enrich it with different qualities, creating relationships with others, with or without touch. The exploration of shared space involves maintaining one’s own dance while moving together, playing with obstacles rather than avoiding them. Sensation plays a key role in how one approaches oneself, others, and the dance. The goal is to find a common language and dance together.

The group explores through different exercises: deciding and responding, using breath and voice to transform our movements, using obstacles as a playground, leading-following, contact with/without touch, opposite movement qualities, repetition, copying and integrating, and forms such as solos, duets, small groups. They will also develop their own body language, communication with others, create their shared space together, and have fun while doing it.

Urša teaches along the lines of the unique dance methodology DanceAbility, which is open to everyone – whether experienced or less experienced dancers, and including people with and without disabilities. Alito Alessi developed this methodology over the past 35 years.

The motto is: Every individual should be considered special and unique. Disability should not be treated as something extraordinary; rather, it should be accepted as a natural part of development, as every individual is unique and “temporarily able”. Diversity enriches the group, and these unique individual differences establish richness.

For the All Abilities workshops the motto is “pay as you wish”.
