Archetypes in motion

This workshop explores the energies and qualities of different archetypes – such as the maiden, warrior, magician, jester, and high priestess – through dance. By drawing on the unique characteristics of each archetype to inform movement and choreography, participants will deepen their understanding of both themselves and the archetypes.

The session offers a fun and creative way to engage with these energies while providing a profound bodily experience. The archetypes are explored through choreographic development, improvisation, and playful movement.

The workshop features a variety of exercises, beginning with a gentle warm-up, then moving into the exploration of archetypes, and culminating in the development of choreography that incorporates their movements and qualities. Participants will also play with improvisation to loosen fixed forms of expression. At the end of the workshop, participants will have an opportunity to reflect together on what they have learned and how they might integrate these insights into their own practice.
