In 1913, George Bernard Shaw premiered his play Pygmalion at Burgtheater in Vienna, in which the sculptor falls in love with the statue he carves. Inspired by this piece the workshop explores themes of love, desire, and physical form through movement. Participants are invited to fall in love with sculptures and create movement scores as expressions of adoration. They will look at different ways of being inspired to create movement language.

Everyone is encouraged to bring items such as postcards, keychains, or souvenirs of their favourite sculptures. These objects will serve as entry points for solo works – all while listening to the greatest love songs ever!

Bring items such as postcards, keychains, or souvenirs of your favourite sculptures with you!
