PROGRAMME
Together Building More is a space and time where participants will engage their senses, inherited knowledge, and, through this specific context of space and time, allow their bodies and perceptions to move through grounding roots and foundations. Foundation here refers to primal concepts, geographic sites, and areas of development in creative and movement practices with the aim for extrapolating from structural formats.
What can support mean? Within a perspective of non-profit organisations – how can public subsidies and patronage work through local, national, and international networks? Which possible approaches can succeed? Collaboration, interdependent structure and teamwork. These are the foundations for the construction of growth and maintenance in project planning and budgeting. But what else? What are we looking for and desiring within our contexts?
Contemporary examples of communities, creative methods, curatorship, and cultural practices will be presented and discussed with a focus on the tension between cultural politics and cultural policies. To summarise, the workshop examines how support systems function within independent non-profit organisations, considering public funding and networks. In these two days we will look into what means nowadays, sustainable growth and alternative approaches to cultural politics and practices.
This workshop is open to all members of the dance community with previous experience in collaboration and collective association, who are interested in working together and embracing possible changes through movement and collective building.
