Each unit is divided into four sections: warm up (full-body stretching, core activation, pelvis isolation and rotation), skill development (Dancehall Technique development, the learning of steps from Old School to New School Dancehall), application and cool down (stretching and relaxation, hydration and closing reflection).
Besides the various forms of dancehall that are introduced – from Old School to New School female styles, the nuances of the genre are explored, and the movements and improvisations are rehearsed in individual, partner and group work.
