This series of Technosomatics classes, addresses the relationship between the midline and the periphery of our bodies. By means of club dancing to techno with eyes closed as well as through other exercises, we will explore two new areas of research in the practice: first, the relationship between what Frédéric calls the central and peripheral endocrine system, the major regulatory chemical system of the body, consisting of glands and tissues that release hormones, which regulate physiological and behavioural processes; second, the relationship between the midline and the volume of our fluid body. How does the endocrine body and the fluid body relate to one another?
Technosomatics, a practice developed by Frédéric, is an exploration of the endocrine system and the chakras though club dancing, approaching the latter as a tool for self-discovery and for expanding the range of our perceptions; a practice doesn’t require any specific background in dance.
