Rooted in Indigenous methodology, Lara and Caroline will share their art practices to encourage reflection on normative systems, horizontal praxis, and shared learning. The workshop will incorporate multidisciplinary exploration, durational practice, embodied approaches, institutional questioning, and rethinking, as well as multigenerational considerations. Sonic and attentional awareness will be cultivated via storytelling. The group will walk away with a better understanding of indigenous perspectives and realities while exploring alternative approaches to art-making and various rhythms and methods that can decolonize, energize, and renew how to approach a creative practice.
