Have you ever wanted to learn how to vogue like the kids on TikTok and IG? Well, I'm here to teach you how. The Revlon way. The “Femme” way. The authentic way. Voguing is a highly stylised form of dance created by black and Latino LGBTQ communities in Harlem, NYC. Originating in the late 1980s, it evolved out of the Harlem ballroom scene of the 1960-ies, of mostly drag, transgendered, and gender-fluid/neutral people. Named after the famous fashion magazine, Vogue takes from the poses in high fashion and ancient Egyptian art, dance, Martial arts, and acrobatics. The music helps tell a story and expresses gender performance. It’s a dynamic, energetic, bold, expressive, empowering dance that offers a sense of community, identity, free expression, and fun for all. Whether it’s your first time on the floor, or, you're an “around-da-way Filet”, there's something here for you. As a member of the Legendary House of Revlon, I competed in the category, “Butch Queen Vogue Femme”, under the moniker, “Lil’ Bit Revlon”. Categories are designed for “House” members to compete against other Houses for status and prizes at balls. Whose House is the most FABULOUS? Whether you’re strutting like Naomi Campbell, dancing sassy like Janet Jackson, or posing like Madonna, it comes from Voguing.

This is an open-level class with open dialogue. We will learn how to transition between all 5 elements of Vogue Femme. Hands, Duckwalk, Catwalk, Spins, Dips, and floor performance. Let’s be free. Have fun. Share energy. Love. Do you dare? See you on the RUNWAY, my dear!

Please bring heels, sneakers, or whatever comfortable footwear. No barefoot. Preferably no socks.
