Moving our bodies in space with clarity and purpose and supporting each other by filling the space with our energy are two of the main focuses of this workshop. Experiencing unfamiliar states and ways of moving will help to become reacquainted with one’s own body and as a result enable transforming and breaking one’s own personal movement stereotypes.
The workshop covers aspects of technique, such as alignment, fluidity, precision, and overall awareness of one’s own presence and that of others moving in the space. The choreography, following a warm-up that combines stretching and floor movement, integrates different levels of quality and tension, emphasising a heightened sense of timing. Our aim is to move our bodies in space with clarity and purpose and to supporting each other by filling the space with our energy.
