The dynamic of jazz music sets the pace for a swinging Modern Jazz class. Thereby, the focus is on movements from the back, such as Port de Bras or swing. Attention is also paid to the origin and impulse of the movement as well as the here and now. Modernity is ever important in a class with a certain respect to tradition. At the very foundation Jazz dance is about ‘mixing and creating’.
