The dynamic of jazz music sets the tone for a swinging Modern Jazz class. Thereby, the focus is on the movement from the back, such as Port de Bras or the swing, the beginning as well as the impulse of a movement and the here and now. Modernity is ever important in a class with a certain respect to tradition. At the very foundation Jazz dance is about “mixing and creating”.
