Creative Process
integrating concept and action
This workshop will provide an environment in which to deepen one’s relationship to the creative impulse, as it concerns body, moving, and building performances. Cultivating the unique ways that each individual has of integrating concept and action, class will include explorations of personal psycho/physical impulses, conceptual structure, and analytical dialogue. We will stress an awareness of narratives that are hidden in the gap between what we "want" to make and what we are actually doing or experiencing.
A certified teacher of Skinner Releasing Technique since 1995, she teaches workshops in composition, Skinner Releasing Technique, and improvisation, in the US and abroad. DD Dorvillier has created experimental and multi-media performance works in New York City for over a decade.
