"negrifude", "Black Soul" – Black Conscience and Afro-Brazilian culture
The Brazilian Gilson de Assis teaches the young music style Samba Reggae on Surda, Caixa, Repique and Timbau. Samba Reggae was developed in the seventies when the black Africans of Bahia had focused their new self esteem in the movement "negrifude". Under the influence of American "Black Soul" black conscience and Afro-Brazilian culture were rediscovered and reintegrated.
