Yoga for dancers Mia Lawrence likes to share her passion for yoga combining elements of Kundalini and Hatha yoga. Class begins with hatha yoga asanas – physical postures designed to open the body and connect the mind with the breath; here they are presented in a flowing series. We will practice standing postures, forward bends, twists, inversions, and balances. The last part will focus on a basic Kundalini yoga "set" that combines a simple stretch or arm movement with a specific breathing technique (pranayama) to achieve a powerful, precise effect deepening relaxation and bringing a renewed sense of well-being and vitality. Please bring a towel and do not eat 1 1/2 hours before class.
