The two of them have very different artistic approaches, but in their thinking and in the passion they feel for dance, they are very similar. Both Anne Juren and Frédéric Gies started dancing in France and then moved on: Juren to Vienna and Gies via Berlin to Sweden. Now, the established, internationally successful dance-makers have teamed up to portray each other in Jumelles (French for female twins as well as for binoculars).
