Encounters is a series of dance pieces performed in spaces and at locations related to work. Whether daily, for a whole year, in a retail outlet in Vienna or in an abandoned factory building during the COVID lockdowns – Gottfarb’s point of departure is the idea that dance is work, and he wants to share this work as a joint activity with the performers and the audience. Together with Clélia Colonna and the participants of the ImPulsTanz Pro Series, Encounters #3 he explores the working environment of a farm. The performances take place on a field and the audience can attend them free of charge.
