Sensorial Transference is a choreographic ‘session’ inviting the audience to take part in the bodily experience of a patient. French born Viennese choreographer, dancer and researcher Anne Juren is well versed in such experiments with physical symptoms. She works with the historical, sensorial and cellular body and has recently choreographed a series of Symptom Pieces, in which she created Fantasmical Anatomies to demon strate that the ability to imagine something “can create phantom limbs that are as concrete as bones”, for instance.
