This is PRICE, the hybrid persona of artist Mathias Ringgenberg, navigating once more between heteronormative structures and his own precarious identities. His performance to sound by Cecile Believe and Sebastian Hirsig’s piano experiments with radical immersion as well as a merciless unmasking of theatrical conventions. A lot is being improvised and nothing is perfect. Not even the costumes because failure is also a valued stylistic device in PRICE’S artistic strategies. A lot of things hang in a dangerous balance because body, appearance and language are permanently called into question.
