This young choreographer and composer is a specialist in subtlety, subliminal relationships and a particularly discreet form of dance. Born in 1993, Samuel Feldhandler comes from a family of musicians and has already created a considerable number of works that demonstrate his affinity for music: the fugue, the sonata, the symphony. The title of this delicate, well-balanced trio, ’d he meant vary a shin’s, contains the expression “theme and variations”. There are traces of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Goldberg Variations, and, in terms of dance, of the great Trisha Brown (Theme and Variation, 1972), to whom this piece is dedicated.
