Prometheus - Landscape II

ImPulsTanz2011 © Troubleyn

Prometheus, the rebel of Greek mythology, gave fire to humankind. This made Zeus, the father of the gods, incredibly angry and so he not only punished the humans but also the subversive insurgent. Belgian multi-artist Jan Fabre presents the character of Prometheus in his flaming new stage piece as the epitome of a rebellious, proud autonomy in a society that invents gods to pass all responsibility to them. A powerful, rude piece of dance, with accompanying music by Tag Taeldeman.
