SALVA SANCHIS & ANNE TERESA DE KEERSMAEKER / ROSAS (ES & BE)
A Love Supreme
“I would like to bring to people something like happiness.” These were the words once used by the ingenious tenor saxophonist John Coltrane to express his enthusiasm for the spiritual power of Far Eastern religious music. And now, once again, four dancers of Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker’s Company Rosas go in search of an “order of happiness” in an improvisation of jazz and dance. Coltrane supplies the soundtrack with A Love Supreme, his superb musical creed from 1965. The brilliant choreographer has reworked her piece from 2005 together with Salva Sanchis, expanding it into a feature-length performance.
