Bruch is the long-standing solo project of Philipp Hanich, born in Munich, Germany, currently based in Vienna, Austria. Experienced in pop culture’s diverse tropes and a wide range of subculture's standard dances, Bruch leverages the allures of a tender crooner in lugubrious gray-black, just as much as he knows to convince as a vitriolic spitfire fueled on socially colored conflicts the very next moment. Vulnerable yet forceful, grandiose yet intimate, sometimes stroppy and cracking in overdrive, Bruch’s evocative and unadorned vocal style instantly sucks you into his stories. After a first LP release in 2012, he’s been playing with sonic high explosives and contagious soul soothers ever since: merging dark electronics with the grand gesture of rock’n’roll noir and Schlager music in a highly distinct and minimalist manner. Bruch comes in different shapes. Pulling all styles of music that are suitable for his purposes, Bruch sets out to do something, then does it. Cause he’s 1, 2, 3, 4 … various!

Besides Philipp’s work as a musician and visual artist (his cover artworks are hand-painted and as stark and uncompromising as his music), he also co-founded the music labels Cut Surface (since 2016) and Totally Wired Records (2012–2016).

SNIFFIN’ GLUE: ANNIE HIGH & ADHS LENE

Sniffin‘ Glue is a party series founded by Annie High and ADHS Lene, based on a long-standing friendship and a shared interest in music. Dedicaded to post-punk and wave in all its form, Sniffin’ Glue offers a blend of Live Performances and DJ Sets.

As DJ’s ADHS Lene is focused on obscure (electronic) music, especially New Wave, Neue Deutsche Welle, Post Punk, Italo Disco and Synth Pop. Her focus is to combine old rare records with contemporary productions. Annie High‘s sets are a gloomy journey through post punk and wave from the 80s to today and include a selection of classics and rarities from these genres.
