Cousines like Shit releasing their debut EP Young and Online via Seayou Records. Young and Online drifts between profound social criticism and the fascination for the banal. While the single Young and Online draws a sarcastic portrait of the smart generation and judges capitalist society, Paperbag is a homage to the simple paper bag. Cousines like Shital ways leave room for interpretation nevertheless they move between nonsense and input. Somehow everybody can find sense in their music. The cousins Hannah and Laura Breitfuß create a portrait of generation Y and the digital era. In the shadow of a pandemic, Young and Online embraces the impact of the online cult. A sound based on experiments with words, produced in a cut-up method, incorporating the randomness of auto correct. But still never excluding a critical debate on current events. A contrast between nonsense and message, in the words of Cousines like Shit: avant-trash. Their sound desires unpredictability and refuses to be pigeonholed.
