Stand Up (...) 15 Minutes for Everyone! In this coaching project we'll deal with issues such as alienation and contortion - or: what is behind this wish of ours to go public. Andy Warhol's prophetic statement that everybody will be famous for 15 minutes has been overtaken by reality long since: On the internet everything from bored nosepoking to passing stool is exhibited, talkshow trivialities push viewing rates, adolescents run amuck, ready to do everything in their longing for attention. Those suffering from narcissistic insult find themselves on the roller-coaster of a life deprived of any meaning. But: Nothing saves us from the abyss of our existence. We will look at our motivation to be on stage, at our unconscious longings, projections and our craving for visibility. What motivates us to become a dancer, a performer? What happens, when long sought-after stagelife turns into a daily grindmill? What happens to the ideas, we originally had? We'll take stock of our reality as performers. Perhaps we'll unearth buried dreams we could not cash in on, mistakes and vain hopes we should take a look at. Our longing for recognition and love. The trap of perfection. Functioning no matter what's the price. Judgmental looks at ourselves. The goal of this coaching is to pro/ject different images of ourselves, than those expected of us. We can only succeed when we look at ourselves and our unvarnished reality honestly, lovingly and acceptingly - and see where we are in our lives - now. With everything we are: Fear, insecurity, pressure, joy, ecstasy and our longing for other realms. Spaces that are not occupied by have-tos and musts. At the end participants are invited to share their publishments with the audience in a happening. Barbara Kraus Barbara Kraus lives and works in Vienna.
