Geo-trauma Dance
When the enemy and opportunity for emancipation is one of the same, when city and desert overlap, when identity and fear has both become corporatised, we must engage in the inhuman, the production of choreography without subjectivity, an object dance.
In this ProSeries Project the group engage in a twofold practice producing choreography out of necessity rather than negotiation, dislocating aesthetic judgement and the relation between production of movement and language. The introduction of a double threshold aims at the destruction of oppositions between state and nomad, soldier and mercenary, dog and dragon insisting on the emergence of an "authentic" production: a geo-traumatic dance taking place in the incision when inert earth allowed for movement to take place.
The practical and in depth physical starting point, concerned with the production of a possessed community through ritual and voodoo, will be accompanied with discussions and theoretical application. The ProSeries Project will end with a public presentation.
