"Frozen On The Circuit Inspired by the definition of chemical reactions, our memory of electric shocks, and images of the immortality of cartoon characters, and with the help of a selected group of dancers, I want to research on a creation and development of a fresh movement vocabulary. Most of us have experienced some form of electric "shock," where electricity causes our body to experience pain or trauma. If we are fortunate, the extent of that experience is limited to tingles or jolts of pain from static electricity buildup discharging through our bodies. I want to be able to use that experience. We will research on physical themes of extreme transformation between states and energies, carry through the line: life and death, thermal and kinetic energy, potential energy transformed in free fall, electric shocks, and the unpredictable resilience with which cartoon characters illustrate these states. With this workshop Zambrano takes a step further inside his artistic quest to get to know the full potential of communicating with his body as an image beyond the power of words. Frozen On The Circuit is a workshop for dancers who really want and are able to move all day. Maximum of workshop participants: 16 professional dancers with strong movement background.
