This class is for anyone interested in developing a more conscious and dynamic relationship with music. Rather than simply reacting or following, we will explore how movement can engage with sound in active, intentional ways. Sometimes we flow with the rhythm, sometimes we create resistance and sometimes we carry the beat through the entire body – allowing music to become both a partner and a point of friction. Through drills, deep listening, and open movement exploration, we will investigate how musical tension can be embodied and shaped. These practices invite us to generate new textures in our movement, uncover narratives within the sound, and engage both body and mind in a shared creative process.
