Public Moves

We will be loud and will move with conviction and try out how it feels to shout in public. In this class we will train our bodies and voices as tools for activism, at demos and as a flashmob. We will experience resisting and practice playful ways of demanding things in public space. In this class, protestors’ movement material and chant repertoire are expanded in order to intervene into public spaces and generate a collective presence. The topic of consent in regards to repeating other people’s words is also discussed.
