Music and dance are of central importance in Afro-Caribbean cultures! The movements, songs and rituals are part of the successful resistance and survival of the people who created them. It is solidarity and love – all generations celebrate together, from babies to great-grandparents! It is physical and spiritual healing, connection with body and emotions – whether joy or sorrow. An expression of the inherent uniqueness of each individual and the universal energies from which everything is created. We need each other, we need community. Let's celebrate that!
