“Alle Größen decken sich zu“ is based on the collected texts by Carlo Verano (1903 – 1992) – a “full head in a filled apartment“ who is occasionally overcome by the past. Wim Vandekeybus, fascinated by Verano´s “untenable intensity“ proceeded from these conversations and created a work that is more theatre than dance, for Vandekeybus concentrated entirely on Carlo´s words, his recollections covering an entire epoch – material of fascinating artist´s life.
In his performances, a mixture of dance, acrobatics and theatre, Vandekeybus translates the polarity of all life into an unpredictable, powerful action on stage.
