PROGRAMME
Is the search for truth like a bag full of lies? The great German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche certainly came to this conclusion, and dancer/actor Frank Willens turns this into a performative experience. Under the direction of Peter Stamer, Willens works out Nietzsche’s seminal text Über Wahrheit und Lüge im außermoralischen Sinne (1873). According to the German thinker, man is incapable of insight and obtains his truth by fraud through a framework of metaphors. Precisely this conflict is made visible by Willens and Stamer through their thrilling stage metaphor.
