Blush Ten persons, men and women, are chattering and screaming. A party resembling an all too ardously civilized bestiarum. Scenes that could make spectators blush, turbid dreams, hot fantasies, theatre, dance and movie unite in „Blush“, one of the newest pieces by Flemish master choreographer Wim Vandekeybus. Fierce talks about love. „L’amour ou la mort!“shouts a man. Another claims that in water everthing would be easier, a film demonstrates how people float in water. The dancers on stage, Vandekeybus among them, are moving powerfully, wildly and with chaotic exuberance, accompanied by rock music of David Eugene Edwards and his band Woven Hand. All of a sudden some of them jump into the fictive waters, disappear under the surface of the projected images. Shared loneliness is in the air, nervousness turns into brutality, while the will to overcome isolation causes tenderness.
