Undreamt-of things can happen at the borders of the society of the spectacle. Blood, dance, beauty, striptease, for instance. A camera dances amid all that’s going on – this is Gonzo, as seen in several media, in certain pornos. Skin, make-up, more skin, music, colourful flesh and steaming leaves: the Austrian-Dutch performance duo Florentina Holzinger and Vincent Riebeek have joined forces with Nils Amadeus Lange, Annina Machaz and Manuel Scheiwiller to create Jungle. The collective transforms the theatre into a sultry jungle where the audience can release themselves into the wild.
